T. Lindy Betsill

BETSILL, Thomas Lindy (1929-2004) Passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2004 in Vernon BC. Tom was born in Stonewall Georgia. He joined the US Navy and served in the Korean war. He and his wife Pauline met in San Francisco and were married there in 1953. They moved to Vancouver BC in 1955. Tom began his career with the Standard Oil Company (now Chevron Canada) in 1957, residing in Vancouver, Penticton, Trail, Nanaimo and Langley during his 30 year career. After his 1987 retirement, they moved to Vernon BC where his love of golf, cycling and being a grandfather flourished. Tom will be forever missed by his loving wife of 51 years Pauline, son Tom, daughters Melanie and Lee Ann (Peter). Grandchildren, Jennifer, Jenni, Taylor, Dayna and Emma. Also survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters, numerous nieces and nephews in the southern United States. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so my make a donation in Tom's name to Vernon Hospice Society, 3506 - 27 Ave., Vernon BC V1T 1S4 or the BC Cancer Foundation.
