I barely knew Spencer, but I was in Longino School and the Gray Y with his brother Stanley, class of 54.

They lived in one of the big old frame houses on Main Street between Virginia Avenue and the high school. Their father was an older man who was employed as an agent/telegrapher by the A&WP Railroad at the College Park depot. He was a tall, straight slender man, always dressed in a white shirt, black trousers, shoes, suspenders and hat, and always walked to work at the depot.

Both Stanley and Spencer were well spoken, and it is my guess and hope they succeeded in life.

A nice typical solid family. I lost touch with them after that.

Spencer was my classmate 1948. We lost Spencer years ago. Any information would be nice to have

I was a classmate of Spencer's and we were pals. I lost touch with him immediately after graduation and never had any further contact, sad to say. Like Stell, I'd love to know more about his life after we parted company. I appreciated the additional information provided by Noel Starr Smith (I remember sleeping overnight in that large frame house on Main St}.

Added notgeon 09/13/2022:Last month, I at last located online Spencer's obit. He apparently was a career officer in theAirfoce. Here's what was written on his tombstone in Andersonville:
"James Spencer Brewer  05/29/1931 to 07/25/1991. Buried in Andersonville National Cemetery; He was 2nd Lt in USAF, and had served in Korea."
