Mr. Ronald (Ron) Wayne Bailey, age 76 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away May 15, 2014.  He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Albert R. and Louanna B. Bailey.  He was preceded in death by siblings, Albert, John, Cullen and Norman Bailey, Dorothy Phillips, June Barney and great grandsons, Andrew and Ethan.  He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Griffin, Georgia.  He enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was an overall handyman.  He also enjoyed having a garden and could make anything out of metal.  Mostly he was a loving husband, father and PaPa.  Survivors include his wife of over 54 years, Geraldine (Gerri) Bailey; children, Ron Bailey, Jr., Pam Jackson and Jay (Joanna) Bailey; seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren; daughter in law, Belinda Bailey and sister in law, Randi Hellams; sisters, Mary Anne Bailey of Oceanside, CA, Joan Scales of Flowery Branch, GA and Jean Downes of Chester, PA; many nieces, nephews and friends.  Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home.  Mr. Randy Kea officiated.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Ron.
