Loretta Robertson passed away on October 10, 2014, after an extended hospitalization. She lived in College Park, GA, in the house in which she grew up. Her body is to be cremated, and no services are planned. There are no immediate family members surviving.
I am so sorry to hear about Loretta. We were very good friends for many years. A couple of times we were roommates and had a duplex one time, and lived on 17th street in an upstairs apartment for a while. We would come home to College Park on the weekends to do our laundry at our parents homes and then go back for the work week. After I got married we didn't see each other much and then I moved away to New Orleans for 20 years and got busy raising a family and we didn't talk at all. I did see her one time about 10 years ago when she came and had Thanksgiving dinner with us at my daughter's house after I moved back to Georgia. I was just recently thinking of her, I mean within the past week and wish I had called her. Of course I wouldn't have reached her but the day she had dinner with us we enjoyed each other's company and reminisced about days gone by. I definitely had planned to contact her before the 2015 reunion. May God rest her soul.
