Alton joined the Air Force, and we lost contact. 20+ years later I saw him, and he owned I think Harris Floor Covering on Trinity Ave. in Atlanta. That was the last time. I hope he had a good life.
Alton and I were in the first grade together at Longino. He and I were the tallest and were appointed to give out coats from the cloak closet at the end of the day. He was one of a small group that went from first grade through high school together.
