My deepest sympathy is extended to Gloria's family.  Growing up on Yale Ave. in College Park, Gloria lived on the same block. I so looked up to her and she was like a real life princess to me when I was a child.  The first time I saw her perform as a majorette was so exciting and she was so kind to everyone.  Gloria's mom, Mrs. Segars, was the school secretary at S.R. Young for years and she was so proud of all of her children. Again, my condolences to her beautiful family.  Mary Jo West (Hall) CPHS '66

Gloria was one of my favorite classmates throughout our school years.  You cannot say enough good things about her.  I was sure dismayed to hear of her moving on so soon.

I lived across the street from the Segars, and was much younger than Gloria, but was secretly in love with her as a young boy. I thought she was the most beautiful girl in the entire world. She was very sweet to me, and always treated me like a little brother; she must have known how I felt about her, as my mouth fell open at her beauty every time we spoke; actually I could not speak. LOL. Anyway, I am so sorry to hear of her passing, and would like all to know that she was a fine person, a top grade citizen, setting a great example for all who knew her. She, Richard and Jimmy have always been a part of that legacy that their wonderful mom and dad established, so many years ago.
