Dang, this was a cousin of mine. I definitely must have been trippin' in the 12th grade because I didn't remember Jack being there when I was. My mother was a Warren so he was on her side, but geeze, don't remember much about him or that part of the family so don't know what to say.

Jack was my middle brother. My oldest brother was Dennis and then the youngest of the three was Roger. All of us attended CPHS. All three of the boys were diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy when they entered early adulthood. They all lived much longer than the doctors projected and each of them had full lives - not letting their disability hold them back from doing what they wanted to do. Dennis was 13, Jack was 11 and Roger was 10 yrs old when I was born, so I always looked up to my "Big Brothers". They were all an inspiration to me and so many others. Dennis passed away in 2004 from lung cancer; Roger passed away in 2006 of complications from MD and Jack passed away in 2009 from cancer.

I am so sorry to hear about Jack.  He was in my class and I remember him very well.  He was sweet and

very much a gentleman.

We have had a few class  reunions and I am so sorry we were not able to.reach Jack.

.We  all would have liked to see him.

Please accept my sympathy on the loss of a very treasured brother.

Roxanne,

I grew up two houses down from you and your family. Dennis,Jack Darring and I did a lot together on Bellmont Drive and at

Neely Grammar School. I saw you Dad  many years ago at a funeral of Jack Darring's mother.

Lots of good memories during the late "49's and '50's.

I'm glad you wrote about your brothers, brought back good old times.

Thanks,

Warren"Bud" Godfrey
