Vic actually died from a heart attack in his early 30's. He had moved to Orlando Florida and had remarried. He was water sking and felt sick, told the others to let him rest on shore and when they returned he had died.
Mickey ..that's what I heard also. I believe he was in his in his mid-30s.
Vic was one of the nicest guys I've ever known, He moved to College Park the summer of 1958. We met at the pool. He was so cute and we liked each other, that is until Paul Markey came home from Iowa where he had spent the summer. From then on we dated when neither of us were going with anyone else. Great guy, loved by the girls and liked by the guys.
He went on to UGA and roomed with Paul & Bill Barrett. He worked in the Real Estate Dept, at C&S Bank downtown. . He later married and they had two children before divorcing. His mom told me he married again. Two weeks after he died, his second wife took her own life.
