We lived next door to the Farmers for many years. Only because there were no other boys his age in our neighborhood, Benny and I played together frequently. I remember there was a chinaberry tree in their yard. I remember one day we picked berries off that chinaberry tree and put them into the gas tank of his daddy's car. It's funny that I don't remember how we were punished. Perhaps no one could believe that sweet little me would do something like that or maybe the punishment was so bad that it's not something I ever wanted to remember but I do remember Benny, Elaine, Kenneth, their parents and grandmother and their dog Rex. All fine people.
