Hello everyone!
David died in 1972 in Myrtle Beach, or Nags Head in an auto crash. He was killed instantly when a
bread truck ran a red light and slammed into the passenger side of the car he was riding in. I remember
Chris Condrey (also now deceased) told me he and his buddies had finished working at a restaurant
and it was about 3am. They were just driving home. He was a good friend.
If any 1969 classmates remember, he came back to College Park several times to visit, and I saw him at a
party. He actually looked like the photographs I have seen of "General Custer" of Custer's Last Stand. He
had a fedora similar to Custer's turned up on one side, a long suede leather coat with fringe leather
on the arms of the coat, and knee-high suede boots (also with fringed tassles running down the
sides. His hair was well below the shoulders, and his beard was full and long. That was my last image of
David. God rest his soul!
Best Regards,
