Mr. Wayne A. Sheppard, age 55, died at home in his sleep on 11 January 2007. Wayne was born 17 September 1952 in Atlanta, GA, Wayne grew up in College Park, GA and went to S.R. Young Elemetary School and later to College Park High. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Bernice Sheppard and is survived by his son, William Ackley Sheppard; brothers and sisters, Jackie Jackson of Rex, GA; Carol (Melvin) Jones of Clearwater, FL; William (Jeanette) Sheppard of Beaver Dam, WI; Al (Judy) Sheppard of Atlanta, GA, Jane (Brian Keith) Schuder of Palmetto, GA; and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was a professional musician all of his working career and had the distinction of playing and touring with The Billy Joel Royal Band. He also played with the Al Sheppard Band of Atlanta, GA. In the 70's he played with the Shagnasty Band and recently with a local band out of Dalton, GA. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.
