Dan Bruce (1960)

My first party as a pre-teenager was the big event held in Linda Law's backyard in 1955, just after graduating from S.R. Young 7th grade and before starting 8th grade at CPHS. Linda was a gracious hostess and had the best collection of 45 rpm rock and roll records in town, so everyone looked forward to that evening. Lots of awkward 12-13 y.o. dancing and flirting took place (I had skipped a grade and was a year or more younger than everyone else and twice as awkward) and everyone talked all summer about what a good time we had.
