College Park High School, College Park, GA 1943 - 1988
Elward (Woody) Rigsby (1956)
Donny Amos was my friend. He was simultaniuosly the most irreverent , funniest single person I had known
as a young man and the most genuine, faith-filled, honest one. He graduated Atlanta Christian College and
became a minister, married and became the loving father of five children who loved and respected him. Life
changed as for many of us and he later enjoyed a career in business. Donny died years later as the result of
injuries suffered when struck by a car while jogging(all from the spotty memory of an old friend who hopes
others will correct if errors occur) . This comment is entered because he deserves at least this much........
but on a lighter note : the scene is B- tam football, a pile-up mid field, a long, slim arm sticks out holding
the back of the jersey of a small ballcarrier running in place .....as Paul Wiley (55) ended Donny's hopes of
a touchdown
Virginia Wiseman (Bearden) (1956)
I just remember Donnie being like a breath of fresh air, always smiling and friendly. I'm so sorry to hear about
his accident, that is so sad. I know he is so missed by his family and friends.
