Cynthia passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014.  She was a resident of Riverdale, Georgia at the time of her passing. Funeral service were held Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. Michael C. Schmidt officiating. Burial followed in the Barfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Cotton passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia. She was a native of Clay County and a former resident of Nashville, Tenn., later relocating to the Atlanta area where she remained for the rest of her life. Dianne was a 1975 graduate and homecoming queen at College Park High School. She was also a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and attended Heritage Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Georgia. Dianne is survived by her husband, Anthony C. Cotton; one daughter, Michelle Dianne Taylor; one granddaughter, Madison Dianne Taylor, all of Riverdale, Ga.; two brothers, Donald W. Young of Jonesboro, Ga. and Ronald Young (Kerry), of Locust Grove, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Howard Young and Gloria Faye Denney Young and one brother, John Howard Young Jr.
