She was predeceased by : her parents, Edwena Dollar Hendry and Curtis T. Hendry. She is survived by : her children, Gene Avery and Melissa Avery Parker; her grandchildren, Madison Parker, Mason Parker and Grace Avery; her brother Michael Hendry; and her nieces, Caroline Hendry Miley, Christina Hendry and Cynthia Hendry Hurtado.

I am shocked to learn about the passing of Margie. She was a true friend. We spent many hours together as study pals beginning with the 10th grade. We remained in contact for many years after graduation. Margie was a kind, and generous person, who truly loved others. I was blessed to have known her. I know she leaves behind many who feel the same.
