Anthony Clay Stinchcomb

STINCHCOMB: Mr. Anthony Clay Stinchcomb was born on March 7, 1956 to the late Mr. Henry & Mrs. Marie Stinchcomb in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the eighth of ten children. At an early age, he joined Flat Rock A.M.E. Church in Fayetteville, Georgia, where he was a Trustee Board Member for many years.

Clay was a 1974 graduate of College Park High School, where he excelled in academics, track & field, and basketball. He graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. He was employed with the Fulton County Board of Education and taught Health and P.E. He also worked at Grady Memorial Hospital for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Charlie, Larry, and Alfred.

A Service in loving memory of Mr. Anthony C. Stinchcomb of East Point, Georgia will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Legacy Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Rd., Jonesboro, Georgia. Rev. Michael Jones, eulogist.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Anthony Clay II and Shakira Evanee Stinchcomb; grandchildren, Taviyon, Ayden and Ameree Stinchcomb; brothers, Guy (Erma), Ronald and Donald; sisters, Gwendolyn O’Neal, Eloise Byrd (Warren) and Shelia Willis (Charles); two dear nieces, Constance Rocker and Gieava Stinchcomb; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel 12:30 p.m.
