Jim was a good friend and a terrific guy with as many gals as his many interests. His drive was film.  I often watched with awe as he and Bruce Cook expertly made animated films which today would have minted them a fortune on Youtube.  It was sadly this interest that led to Jim's leaving us much, much too soon.  If there are Academy Awards(R) in Heaven, Jim is doing alright.

How did Jimmy pass? He was one of the good ones.

Julie,  Jimmy was a decorated Army Vet winning many medals but never bragged about them. I think he made the rank of Capt in Viet Nam....I had ROTC with him when I was in the 8th grade and he was a Senior ...I knew him, very kind boy but being the years difference we were not good friends.

Later in life I as a Law Enforcement officer (Now Retired) I was blessed by a contract for court security in the chapter 13 Fed hearings in Newnan Ga.  I became good friends with Tommys Dad...He was a Attorney and very old about 80 when I 1st met him. Tommys dad found out I was from College Park and that I knew Tommy and I was told how he died.

After serving in the Army, Tommy went to work for one of the major Atlanta TV stations as a camera man.  One day they were filmong trains at the Atlants train station and Tommy had his back to a train while standing on one of the tracks there,  with all the noise, he never seen the train and was hit and killed.....His dad never ever got over Tommys death. Each time we would talk about Tommy tears in his eyes....Tommys Dad JIM Harmad died about 4 years ago. I still have the court conaract there after 12 years and I really miss old JIM....
