William Robert Miller

Services for Mr. William R. "Bill" Miller, age 74, of Hide-A-Way Lake were held Jan. 19 at the St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Lindale with Rev. Robert Godwin officiating. Interment with Masonic Graveside Rites followed at Rosehill Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale. Mr. Miller died Jan. 18 in a Tyler hospital. He was born June 28, 1926 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Augustus Taylor and Pernicia McClung Miller. He lived at Hide-A- Way Lake since 1989 but was formerly of Richardson where he for 29 years, Calgary Alberta Canada from 1958 to 1960, and Odessa. He was a member of the St. Lukes Episcopal Church, the T.R. Bonner #764 Masonic Lodge, the Sharon Shrine, The Eastern Star, The Elk Lodge of Richardson, and Hide-A-Way Lake Kiwanis. As a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology he was a purchasng agent for Oilwell Supply a Division of US Steel where he was retired after 33 years of service. Mr. Miller is preceded in death by a brother Augustus Taylor Miller Jr. and a son Jeffery Taylor Miller. Survivors include his wife of 44 years Mrs. Patsy Ruth Young Miller of Hide-A-Way Lake; one sister Mrs. Helen Williams of Atlanta, GA; one son Michael Stewart Miller of Amarillo; one daughter Lisa Miller of Alabama; three grandchildren and one great randchild. T.R. Bonner Lodge Brothers served as Honorary Pallbearers.
