William T. Oxford, Sr., 89, of Greenville, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 at his residence.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021 at Memoryland Memorial Park, under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Greg White officiating.

Mr. Oxford was born in College Park, Georgia on Aug. 27, 1932. He was the son of William Pierce Oxford and Elizabeth Lily Haines Oxford. He married Roberta Jean MacFarland on Feb. 17, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia. She preceded him in death.

He was a Baptist and veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Oxford was a retired supply supervisor at L-3.

He loved his family and his country.

Survivors include his son, Buddy Oxford; daughters, Jean Oxford, Diane Keller and Bonnie Wood; sister, Elizabeth Ann Ausere'; eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Pierce Oxford.
