He is survived by his wife, Judy, Sons Randy, Dan, Tom, and Tim, and Daughter Lynette, and three grandchildren.

William was a graduate of Georgia Tech, successfully owned his own business, was a pilot and owned his own airplane, was an elder in the Peachtree City Christian Church, was a member of several service organizations and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His courageous battle with cancer lasted over five years when his loving savior took him home. His last words were "I love you."
