Clayton Smith Nichols, Jr.

December 30, 1932 ~ February 15, 2015 (age 82)   

Mr. Clayton Smith Nichols, Jr. (U.S.A.F. Ret.), age 82, of Vidalia, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia.  He was a native of Fulton County, and moved to Vidalia in 1990.  He retired from the U.S. Air Force after twenty years of service as a Major.  He was a 1956 graduate of Clemson University.  He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Vidalia, and was a former member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Port Charlotte, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Smith Nichols, Sr. and Lillian Eidson Nichols.

Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife, Beverly Nichols of Vidalia; two daughters, Beverly Gay Nichols of Madison, Virginia, and Brenda Gayle McClean of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, Robert Clayton Nichols and wife Debra of Port Charlotte; six grandchildren, Kimberly Kulenguski, Ian Kulenguski, Megan McClean, Stephanie Mulligan, Cerise Nichols, and Katie Mae Nichols; and four great-grandchildren.

Interment will follow later in the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation Columbarium.

This is  the Nickey Nichols who grew up in College Park GA
