Shirley Jackson (Taylor)

Shirley Ann Jackson Taylor, born August 3 , 1937, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2014. Shirley was a lifelong resident of the metropolitan Atlanta area, a third generation florist, a member of Woodstock First Baptist Church, a prayer warrior for many, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. While Shirley's parents, Mae and Ernest Jackson, predeceased her, she is survived by her husband of 59 years, William E. Taylor, son, Alan, his wife, Deborah, and daughter, Cassandra Nicole, son, Barry, his wife, Susie, numerous cousins and countless friends. Visitation was held at Castellaw Funeral Home, 866 Church Street, Smyrna, Georgia 30080, on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, in the Chapel of Woodstock First Baptist Church, 11905 Highway 92, Woodstock, Georgia 30188. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wellstar Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, 475 Dickson Avenue, NW, Marietta, Georgia 30064.

Noel Starr Smith (1955)

I seem to recall Shirley having a crush on Jake Brown.

She was non-stop cheerful. I hope that trait stayed with her for our long haul. It was certainly evident at our 2010 get together.
