Obituary

Mrs. Lucy Millians Thomas died peacefully in her home on September 17, 2022 in Peachtree City, Georgia at the age of 83.

 

Lucy is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth M. Thomas of Decatur, Georgia, Jennifer Thomas Wells of Sharpsburg, Georgia, and Dana K. Thomas of Portland, Oregon (Andrew McEvoy); grandchildren, Captain Zachary Wells (Caitlyn), Justin Wells (Emily), and Caroline Wells; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Wells; brother, Thomas Millians; and many cousins.

Lucy was born on November 26, 1938 in East Point, Georgia to E.W. “Pete” Millians and Thelma Webb Millians. After completing high school, Lucy began working at General Motors (Lakewood Plant) where she met her husband Tommy (who preceded her in death in 2020), and they married in 1969. The couple raised three daughters together and were married for over 50 years. Her children remember her as a loving mother and committed wife, dedicated to providing a safe, happy home.

Lucy was a generous individual who supported a number of charities. She will be most remembered for her amazing strength in every situation. Lucy was an active and dedicated member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church.

A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Westminster Memorial Gardens, 2090 GA-54, Peachtree City, Georgia. Luke Mastervick will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lucy’s life.
