Virginia Bearden died peacefully at the age of 85 on November, 30, 2023, at Presbyterian Village in Austell, GA.

Virginia is survived by a sister, Audrey Knight Wylie; brother Larry Wiseman (Susan); two sons, Joey Bearden and Daniel Shawn Bearden (Dawn); one daughter, Christal Huft (Brandon Huft), seven Grandchildren:

Julie Bearden, Jessica Jewell (Chris), Jeremy Huft, Shannon Bishop (Chasen), Sarah Bearden, Corey Bearden, and Harrison Huft; six Great Grandchildren: Christopher Maher, Kyleigh Jewell, Khloe Jewell, Julianna Collins, Sylas Jewell, Roman Bishop; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Rodney Bearden; and brother, Ralph Wiseman. 

Virginia was born on July 8, 1938 to the late Ruth and Ned Wiseman in Germantown, TN. Her family moved to Atlanta, GA where she graduated from College Park Highschool and began working for Gulf Oil. She met her late husband and the love of her life, Rodney Bearden, and they moved to New Orleans, LA where she raised her children and spent 19 years before returning to Atlanta in 1997.

Virginia was a Southern peach with the sweetest laugh and huge heart for everyone she met. She was a devout Christian and cherished her faith and family most of all. 

After unexpectedly losing her husband at an early age, she found strength through her faith in God to persevere. She was an extremely hard worker, and started a small business for a period of time and later retired from Bank of America as an Account Manager.

Virginia was a talented artist and musician. She played the piano and guitar, and published her own copyright song book of praise and worship music. Virginia also loved to paint with acrylics, work in her garden, and watch hummingbirds.

To know her was to love her, and she will be sorely missed by so many. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Mount Paran Church, 2055 Mount Paran Road, Atlanta, GA 30327. Visitation and viewing will be at 10am followed by the service at 11am. 

There will be a burial service immediately following at Crest Lawn Memorial, 2000 Marietta Boulevard Northwest, Atlanta, Georgia 30318.
