Robert "Bob" Vaughan Hunter, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014. He grew up in College Park and was a member of the 1958 graduating class of College Park High School. He enjoyed fishing and playing the piano. He was preceded in death by his parents Horace Randolph and Helen Markey Hunter and grandson Corey Allen Davis. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Marian Nelson Hunter; daughters Abigail (Bobby) Davis of Fayetteville, Terrie Henson-Sandman of Cumming, and Torey (Mitchell) Rose of Snellville; grandchildren Dustin (Ashley) Davis, Brent Davis, Jeremy (Haley) Davis, Chad Davis, Laurie Davis, Danny Davis, Jordan Davis, Kyra (Ron) Lakhany, Cassandra Davis, David Henson, Ryan Sandman, Donna (Brandon) Keever, Rebecca Rose, Jessica Rose, and Jennifer Rose; and brother H. Randolph (Maratha) Hunter.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Reverend JW Wallis will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations to the Basset Hound Rescue of GA, PO Box 680322, Marietta, GA 30068.
