Pauline "Polly" Ragan

Columbus, Georgia - Pauline "Polly" Ragan, age 71, resident of Columbus, died on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Columbus Medical Center. Funeral services were held at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, 11 a.m. with Reverend (Dr.) Tommy Henschel officiating. Interment  followed at Parkhill Cemetery. The family  received friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 15, 2013.

Mrs. Ragan, daughter of the late Joseph Harrison Long and Lillie Mae Davis Long, was born June 5, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a homemaker, former teacher in Dekalb County, Georgia and Muscogee County for several years, and member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ellerslie, Georgia.

Mrs. Ragan was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Laura Ragan. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, David Ragan of Columbus; one daughter, Jennifer Reynolds and her husband Sandy of Shiloh, Georgia; one son, Mack Ragan of Columbus; one sister, Betty Joe Lower and her husband Charlie of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Carson, Kristin, Cole, and Cameron; other relatives and friends.
