Frank Hines

Frank Hines, class of 1962, of Hampton, Georgia, passed away on March 22, 2024. He was born on January 31, 1944, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962-1964 during the Vietnam War. Frank was a dedicated member of the American Legion, supporting and serving his fellow veterans. In his career, Frank worked as an Airline Mechanic for Delta Airlines and was a small business owner. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, an airline enthusiast who enjoyed building model airplanes and taking pictures of airplanes, and a NASCAR fan. Frank is survived by his wife, Joanne Hines; son, Mark Hines; daughter and son-in-law, Tahni and David Gerstenberger; stepson, Corey Musselwhite; stepdaughter, Bobbi McClelland; grandchildren, Amber Hines, Gregory Gerstenberger, Daniel Hines, Olivia Gerstenberger; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Cheryl Hines. Frank also had several step-grandchildren and a step great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Durward Henry Hines, and mother, Georgia Hines. There will be no services at this time as Frank donated his body to medical research to help find a cure for cancer. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to a local JROTC program, a local fine arts department, or the American Legion Family Junior Leadership Camp.
