 JUNE 16, 1944 – NOVEMBER 1, 2020
Sylvia (May) Walker Lynch 76, passed away November 1, 2020 at her home in Kennesaw, Georgia; surrounded by her loving family. A Georgia native she graduated from Georgia College in Milledgeville and taught primary school briefly before traveling the world as a Flight Attendant for 42 years with Delta Airlines. Beloved mother of 2 children Rett and Lauren (Joshua) Kornitsky and DD to her four grandchildren Walker Lynch, Dawson Lynch, Madeline Kornitsky and Amelia Kornitsky. Sylvia was a woman of great passion and faith; she loved her dog Sally and could often be found browsing and shopping for others in her favorite stores. A celebration of her remarkable life will be held privately when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers please go shopping and buy yourself or a loved one something in honor of Sylvia.

As a college classmate at Georgia College in Milledgeville, I extend my condolences to Sylva's family. Have many memories of her at college and will always remember hearing Johnny Mathias songs coming from her and her roommates dorm room. We had a great time there. More fun when it was girls only! We did occasionally get in trouble with the dorm mother. Who would believe now that dorms had a dorm mother who made sure we got back to the dorm on time from dates. Congratulations Sylvia on a life well lived!!!

I was so sad when I heard about Sylvia’s passing. I have many memories of her as we went to school together through grade school and college. We were also neighbors while growing up in College Park.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was truly a lovely and good person.
