Jan Walton Wojcik, 61, formerly Associate Professor of Philosophy, passed away suddenly the first week of July 2006 while in Paris on a trip with her daughter.  Jan taught at Auburn University from 1992-2006.  She was a popular teacher and a respected colleague.  For the last several years prior to her death, Jan served as the book review editor for the Journal of the History of Philosophy.  Her book on Robert Boyle (Cambridge, 1977) was reissued in paperback and remains an important work on Boyle's philosophy of science.  Jan is survived by her daughter Kelly Young, her son Paul Wojcik, and four grandchildren.
