Debbie was my cousin by marriage.  I first met her when we both were about five years old.  She was a fiesty little fireball on crutches that doubled as weapons sometimes if you crossed her.  Born with spina bifida she endured over 60 operations throughout her life.  She was a brave, determined and very religious soul.  Despite the hardships and losing her husband to cancer very early she endured and thrived.  She was an unforgettable person.  I know she is now at peace, with her Maker, no pain and no crutches.

Debbie was a neighbor who was such an inspiration to us who knew her. Debbie & I entered 1st. grade together and we remained classmates throughout elementary and high school. Her accomplishments would have been amazing even without the physical difficulties she endured, and doubly so because of them.  Her positive outlook on life was a gift she shared with others. She was a joy to those of us who knew her and our lives are better because of her. Debbie is one classmate I will never forget.
