Mr. David Monroe Wold, age 78, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away at his residence on Friday, February 13, 2026.

David was born on November 24, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Monrad Wold and Elma (Richards) Wold. He was a devoted member of Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta and lived a life grounded in faith, family, and quiet strength.

David will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to those he loved, and the warmth he brought to family gatherings.

David found joy in the Atlanta Braves games, sawdust-covered projects, quiet days of fishing, pickleball matches, and sunny afternoons at Pawley's island, and most of all, time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Ursula Wold of Ellijay; his children, Meghan Llewallyn (Kris) and Matthew Wold (Meredith), both of Kennesaw, Georgia; his cherished grandchildren, Lila and Ella Wold, and Rowan and Kayson Llewallyn; and his brother, James Wold (Judith) of Sandy Springs; nephew Jeffrey Wold (Alsa), and Kristin Wold (Richard).

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30066.

The family requests that no flowers be sent to the church and no memorial trees be planted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Vincent de Paul - Good Samaritan Catholic Church, or to a charity of your choice in memory of David.
