Deborah Ann Barron 26151073Deborah “Debbie” Ann Jones Barron, 71, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, after a long battle with health issues.

She was a 1969 graduate of College Park High School and then started working for the federal government. In 1984, she began a 30-year career with the Fayette County Magistrate Court. After retirement, she loved cooking and enjoyed traveling and stayed active in different ministries at Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church. She also worked with the Fayette County Board of Elections. Debbie was always supportive and involved in her children and grandchildren’s activities.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Annette Jones; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Sarah Barron. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Mike Barron; sons, Chris and Pam Barron of Fayetteville, Craig and Janette Barron of Senoia; grandchildren, Taylor and Allyson Barron, Samuel Negron and Savannah Iversen; sisters, Gaile Ewing of Fayetteville, Vickie and Bill Elder of Williamson, Susan and J.R. Burns of Woodbine; sister-in-law, Linda B. Grantham of Bremen; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Harps Crossing Baptist Church, Fayetteville, with Reverend Dennis Watson and Reverend Ken Helms officiating. Debbie will lie in state at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Debbie will be laid to rest at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.
