Sonja and I had several classes together. She was a kind and gentle spirit who lit up a room upon entering it. I'm saddened to know that she has been taken from us so early in life. I will always have fond memories of her.

If there was ever a beauty, Sonja was it-I worked at the College Park pool with her and others and what a treat it was to have her around! She was an amazing athlete, had a marvelous personality, and was a friend forever, as she showed up at Lynn's funeral(funeral home in Marietta) and was able to attend several of our reunions. Sonja was the picture-perfect homecoming queen that we always like to think about as the years pass-RIP Sonnie

Regardless of one's position on the high school social ladder of popularity, Sonja treated everyone with kindness and respect.  Her friendship knew no boundaries.  I don't think there was a pretentious bone in her body.  Sonja was the ultimate beautiful person on the inside and out.

Oh, Sonja! What fun you were. Fun and sweet and thoughtful and nice to everyone. I was so shocked to hear you are not here any more.
