J. Dallas Brooks (1987)

Dad passed away on July 25, 1987 after a battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  I'm his only child, and I live with my wife and 7 children (Thomas's grandkids) in Colorado.  Although I didn't know Dad as a high schooler, I think it's pretty safe to say that he was the same Thomas as an adult and a father, as he probably was as a College Park Ram.  He was well-liked, popular, outgoing, and a prankster at times with his family.  But he was also introspective and intelligent.  He taught me to appreciate the little things, especially those wonders found in nature.  He put family first, and his example of what a father should be is my personal goal in that endeavor.  He was a die hard Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets fan, and as a consequence I and my children root for the Jackets to this day from out here.
