Connie Louise Eskew Davenport (1965-2025) Connie Eskew Davenport (60), of Newnan, Georgia passed away of complications due to pancreatic cancer on May 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Connie was born on January 27, 1965 in East Point, Georgia. She was the daughter of George Wiley and Geneva Gammons Eskew. Connie graduated from College Park High School in 1983, then went on to Young Harris College, earning an Associate’s degree in 1985 and Georgia State University, earning her Bachelor’s degree in 1987. Connie met Steve Davenport in 1983 while attending Young Harris College. Steve and Connie married on October 1, 1988 in College Park, Georgia. Steve and Connie enjoyed many walks up to their favorite spot, Cupid Falls, during their time at Young Harris and when they returned to campus regularly for Alumni events. Connie is the mother of two daughters, Ashley Victoria Davenport and Jenna Nicole Davenport. Connie always said that her favorite hobby was raising her two daughters. She was their biggest fan in all that they chose to do. From watching Ashley ride horses to going on spontaneous adventures with Jenna, she was with them every step of the way. Connie enjoyed traveling, especially summer trips to the beach. She loved walking along the beach to find shells and enjoyed watching Steve and the girls jump the waves. Watching the sun set each evening was her favorite and every beach trip she requested family pictures at sunset. Connie worked for Delta Air Lines from 1989 until her passing. She followed in her father’s footsteps in working for Delta. Connie was proud to earn her 35-year pin in Fall 2024. Connie is preceded in death by her father, George Eskew, brother-in-law, Harry Varnadoe and father-in-law, Stanley Davenport. She is survived by her husband, Steve, children Ashley and Jenna, her mother, Geneva, sisters Brenda and Carol (Lonnie), brothers Thomas (Terri) and Doug, nieces Lori (Jerome) and Julie (Dan), nephew Shane and mother-in-law, Joan Davenport and step mother-in-law, Susan Davenport. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home in Fairburn, Georgia. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Whitley officiating.
