Wayne and I married July8,1967 then lived in Boston, Mass while he finished his last year at MIT.Wayne entered Submarine Service and stayed on active duty for 12 1/2 years , followed by another 11 years on active reserve and was very active both in Charleston and Washington, DC.
We moved around the country a lot.I got into show dogs and horses. Both of our children learned to ride well enough to Fox Hunt by my side .We hunted for 15 years over 3 states. I show dogs in many venues.I started with Dalmatians and Dobermans. Followed by getting my first Borzoi( Russian Wolfhound) in 1988 and my first Belgian Tervuren in 1998. I have 5 dogs currently. I have successfully competed in Lure Coursing, Obedience, Rally , Confirmation and Tracking. I have recently started Sheep Herding with my youngest Tervuren. I have breeder ,owner handler taken my own Borzoi to an All Breed Best In Show. Also one of my Borzoi has 18 titles and is the most titled Borzoi in history.
I live in Roswell in my parents old house. Heather lives in Buckhead with her 12 year old twin girls and 6 year old girl. Brian and his wife, Amy live in Boulder , Colorado and have an 8 week old baby girl.
I see about 57 plays a year,to include NYC at Thanksgiving, Canada twice in the summer and 7 theaters in Atlanta. Additionally, I am a season subscirber to the Atlanta Symphony and Opera.
I always treasure the time spent with our Orchestra. Participating in the All State Orchestra was a highlight every year. How can we not be nostalgic about our cute blue velvet and white Majorette uniforms and going to the Rec center for dances after the games? About 10 years ago I went back to the stadium and the grounds, before they changed everything and mentally recalled every wonderful moment. The friends, events, the teachers, Mr. Bostardi correcting some rowdy kid in the hall,,,,We had some good teachers. And, then I was always running after Wayne....
