Glenn Edward Whitfield, 72, of Barnesville passed away January 26, 2020. He was born on January 9, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Ernest L. and Molly Whitfield, Sr. Glenn loved classic cars and golfing. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him. 

Glenn was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Gamble and his parents. He is survived by his sons, David (Crystal) Whitfield and Daniel (Chelsea) Whitfield; his grandchild, Cain; his brothers, Ernest L. Whitfield, Jr. and David Whitfield; his sisters, June Davis and Joyce Whitfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.  
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Reverend Doug Landers officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. The family lovingly requests no flowers.
