Dana Chastain - Class Of 1968

Dana Chastain

Dana Lee Chastain 69, passed after a long illness of dementia on December 13, 2019. His life celebration will be held on Saturday January 4,2020, Acworth United Methodist, at 2 p.m., 4340 Collins Circle, Acworth, Ga. After the service we will meet in the Family Life Center for refreshments and conversation.

Preceeded in death: mother, Jacqueline Chadwick Chastain, father: Edward Benjamin Chastain and brother: Wayne Chastain

He is survived by his wife, Paula, two step daughters, two brothers, Ted and Bob, one sister, Belinda, along with their spouses and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and three grandchildren who knew him as Poppy.

He graduated from College Park High School in 1968, served in the Naval Reserve from 1969-1971 receiving a service medal award in expert rifle, and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad.

So sorry to see this, Dana was a great classmate and friendly guy to all. Please accept my condolences and prayers for his family. I'm sure he will be remembered and missed by many family and friends.

So Sorry, Dana was a good friend in Highschool. he was always friendly and always had a smile on his face.

I am so, so sorry to read this.  I have not seen Dana since we were in high school. He was and is a good man. We had a lot of good times and laughs together. My prayers goes out to his wife and family. May God assuage the pain that they feel and fill the void in their hearts. Much love to them all and God Bless.
