I entered Atlanta Area Tech to study Aviation Mechanics.. Still not realizing why life, studies, or anything didn't make a lot of sense. After a 1 1/2 years of struggle with that and the confusion of the female equation I realized that this too was not going to work. In the midst of all that confusion Wendy and I got married (I was in love ) for all the wrong reasons and I don't think either one of us knew that. Boy, what a confusing time. I took a job with the City of College Park in their Purchasing Department which lasted eight years until my supervisor retired and I was promoted to the Purchasing Director. In that eight years Wendy and I went through a divorce and after six years of being single I married a girl from Chattanooga, Tennessee and we had a son six years later. Meanwhile back at the ranch I was still struggling with running a growing department, building a warehouse store for the city, adding employees, responsibilities, and still a bit confused what my roll in life was.....It goes without saying that this was not good for me my family or my department. Sooner or later, and as it turned out, it was sooner..something had to give. Result: Divorce, loss (resignation) of job..... Then came the real education.... three years of low paying jobs that seemed to have even less purpose than my previous life..... not to worry "all's well that ends well". Lets see, there was Eastern Airlines for about a year (shift work on the tarmac at the airport) so I could pursue employee that I could love again.Then when the wheels ran off that I worked in a in a hardware store, again to pursue employment. Then lastly there was a year or so at the David's Cleaners there in good ol' College Park. Thanks to Jim Bazemore I had almost completed my education.
