I had really planned to attend he reunion this year and catch up with my '59 classmates.  However, my wife informed me that we will be in Vermont that weekend.  I sure was looking forward to this reunion, but I will have to wait for the next one.  I always wanted to see Vermont.

Hey Everybody!!! Hope everyone is planning on coming to the reunion...it is just around the corner now....if you are in town on Friday nite the 70's group will be hanging out at La Fiesta at the Comfort Inn on Virginia Ave.  The food is pretty good and the drinks aren't nearly as expensive as the Marriott's!!!  If you are in town please stop by and visit....

My name is Jackie Bell Samsel, graduated in 1959. Just wanted to say what a wonderful job you have done setting up this website etc. Thank you for your hard work. Admire anyone that can get so much going with a computer. Most of what I know I learned by trial and error, mostly error. Didn't grow up in the age of technology you know. Didn't have cell phones back then, lucky to have 1 phone at the house. Not complaining tho', I still think we grew up in the best of times. Sorry you can't make it to the Reunion 2012. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks.

It was fun. The room was really nice. Martha, Elizabeth (Vinings) and I shared the same room. To be honest, I think the committee did an excellent job and everything was good.

Glad you were able to make it to the reunion. For some reason I understood that you were not going to get to come.Sorry my mistake. Oh and I just figured out who your brother is.Wwent to school w/James, saw him in the crowd and intended to go and say hello but was so many there I never got over his way. i remember he played on the line for the football team. Am I right. I was a cheerleader 3 yrs. 

It was great fun, no friends like my ol CPHS buddies.

Just wanted to let you know that I have posted some pictures from the Hall of Fame Banquet as I was requested.  This event took place on September 7th in Greensboro, NC.  Thank you for the many encouraging words and expressions.  I wouldn't expect anything less from the greatest group of classmates and alumnus.  Go RAMS!!!!

Jonny pappas  operated a liquor store on stewart ave. in the 1960 .He died in in the late in the60s from heart failure.

I would love to talk to you after seeing your post from last July.  Called you but did not have correct number. Hope you will see this and comment back to me. I am from Harrodsburg, Ky and my mother, Lucy Shadoan Floyd, was born in Somerset and raised in Burgin.  Such special wonderful memories of visiting Granny and Oker on the farm in Burgin, which is now, by the way, in Harrodsburg!  I never went to Somerset but do return to Lexington to visit my 96yo old Aunt Jessica and would like to come by your home a do a bit of visitin' as you mentioned.   I read that you are wheelchair bound and hate to know that but please know an ol' CPHS grad (1967) is thinking of you!

To the Class of 58.  Sorry I missed the 55 year reunion. Wanted to come.  I was diagnosed with early stage of prostate cancer in May and had surgery in July.  I was waiting for my PSA test to come back in late Sept. Everything is fine and I'm doing great.  I will make it a point to be at the next one. Hope all are doing well. It has been a long time but I still miss my classmates.  Please take care.    JACK
